Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday accused Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K. Chandrasekhar Rao with day dreaming of coming to power and giving all sorts of assurances to industrialists. His comment was widely interpreted as day dreaming on formation of Telangana, triggering protests in various parts of the region, while Mr. Rao himself reacted strongly in Nalgonda saying it only exposed TDP leader's known anti-Telangana stand.

Later in the evening, a senior TDP leader from Telangana, E. Dayakara Rao issued a statement clarifying that Mr. Naidu did not make comments attributed to him. All Mr. Naidu meant was that Mr. Rao was day dreaming about coming to power and giving assurances.
