Telugu Desam Party general secretary Arvind Kumar Goud on Tuesday alleged that TRS president K. Chandrasekhara Rao was soft towards Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal as his son K. T. Rama Rao was a partner with the latter in a power project in Arunachal Pradesh.

At a press conference, Mr. Goud said it was such business interests that made Mr. Chandrasekhara Rao utter that famous line, I love you Lagadapati, you are a real man, and maintain cordial relations with the MP unlike other Andhra leaders on whom he would pour scorn. Both father and son duo owed an explanation to the people of the region.

In fact it was business and other vested interests more than the Telangana people's interests that made the TRS president Mr. Chandrasekhara Rao attend the CEOs meeting, he said and alleged that it was intended to hold out threats to them.
