Congressmen vent ire over delay in filling nominated posts
Now moving onto the political issues in the state..Resentment over delay in filling up of the nominated posts for various corporations found an echo at a meeting of the DCC presidents in the presence of Chief Minister K. Rosaiah and APCC president D. Srinivas. The meeting was convened by the APCC to discuss among others the indiscipline in the party, preparing the list for distribution of financial aid to the families of those, who died after the tragic death of late YSR.
It is four years since the Congress government filled the vacancies, numbering over 200, that include posts of chairpersons, directors and members of 45 corporations. APCC secretary S. Balapochaiah wondered whether Ministers and MLAs alone were entitled to enjoy positions. Briefing reporters later, Mr. Srinivas said: The DCC presidents wanted stern action if party discipline was violated. He said it was made very clear that no body could take up their own programmes without the permission of the leadership.
