TTD launches multi-purpose e-package

In a path-breaking move, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams launched on Monday, a pilot project christened Sri Seva, an e-package to provide multiple services such as arjitha sevas, seeghra darshan and accommodation to devotees under one umbrella. The TTD specified authority, which met in Tirupati, took several decisions.
The SA chairman, Mr G. Satyanarayana, and the TTD executive officer, Mr I.Y.R. Krishna Rao, briefed the media about them. The Sri Seva will take at least a year to become a full-fledged service, and its main objective is to drastically curtail waiting time of devotees availing various services. The SA admitted that there were several loopholes in the computerisation system which deals with seva tickets. This decision assumes significance in the wake of the infamous multi-crore arjitha seva tickets scam, which rocked the TTD recently.
