Governor E. S. L. Narasimhan will visit Madaksira Assembly constituency in Anantapur district today to interact with groundnut farmers. According to official sources, the Governor during his visit to Penukonda recently to participate in the valedictory function of 500th anniversary of coronation of Srikrishna Devaraya had expressed the desire to meet the farmers in Anantapur.

He reportedly conveyed his interest to the Agriculture Minister N. Raghuveera Reddy. Accordingly, the Governor is slated to fly to Bangalore on Sunday morning and reach Madaksira and visit a couple of villagers for a first hand feel of the farming practices and the issues relating to the ryots. He would then proceed to Neelakanthapuram, the native village of the Agriculture Minister to attend lunch hosted by the latter.
