Rayapati's remarks raise furore in Congress

The remarks by Congress MP from Guntur Rayapati Sambasiva Rao asking Chief Minister K. Rosaiah to make way for others if he was not prepared to act on corrupt Ministers raised a furore in the party.
A section of Congress MLAs affiliated to Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy demanded that the high command initiate disciplinary action against Mr. Rao for his comments although APCC president D. Srinivas said initiating action against the MP was not under the State Congress' purview.
Some party attributed these comments to Mr. Sambasiva Rao's differences with Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana who hails from the same district. They said the MP should have submitted the list of corrupt Ministers to the Chief Minister instead of making comments in public.
