Kanaka Durga as Saraswati Devi on sixth day
Huge crowd of devotees from diffrent walks of life thronged to Indrakeeladri, the abode of goddess Kanakadurga seeking blessings of the deity during the ongoing Navarathri celebrations. The presiding deity Kankadurga will be worshipped as Saraswati Devi today.
The festival began with Devi alankaram and saw the goddess beautifully dressed and holding Veena and sitting on a swan. The deity Saraswati Devi is considered as the Goddess of Knowledge and Music. On this day reciting Saraswati mantra is considered to be auspicious.
