Telangana Rashtra Samiti has announced that it will mobilise 20 lakh people for its proposed rally at Warangal on December 9 to mark completion of one year of the announcement by Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram starting the process of forming Telangana State.

Party functionaries from president K. Chandrasekhar Rao to the ordinary worker will raise funds for the Telangana Mahashakti, as the programme has been named, by symbolically offering coolie on November 24 and 25.

This decision was taken at meetings of the party's polit bureau and later executive committee presided over by party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao here on Wednesday.

The meetings also finalised palle baata and basti baata programmes from October 21 to November 4 to prepare people for an intensified agitation demanding Telangana State. On November 1, the party will organise protest demonstrations on the occasion of State formation day.
