Heavy rush at Durga temple
Long queues of pilgrims was seen on the Canal Road on Friday as a large number of Kanaka-durga devotees thronged the temple for a darshan. Devotees turned up since early morning since the deity was attired in Sri Durgadevi alankaram in the temple on Indrakeeladri hillock. The long queue lines continued till night.
Meanwhile, thousands of Bhavani devotees are pouring into the city since Friday for the Bhavani Deeksha relinquishment. The pilgrims wearing traditional red dresses reached the city by road and trains for the deeksha relinquishment to be performed on the Indrakeeladri hillock. The Bhavanis will stay for three to seven days and complete the rituals in the presence of priests.
