The Gigantic Effigy of Demon King Lord Ravana was burnt in ashes. The National capital new-delhi saw the same spirit like any other state in the country, which celebrated the festival. The effigy was burnt at Ramleela maidan.

The conduct of the event which is held every year on a customary note saw the presence of prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chair person Sonia Gnadhi, Young leader Rahul Gandhi and other prominent leaders from the party. The area was beautifully lit with fire works and arrows that burnt the effigy.
