Another case of suicide due to harrasement of Micro Finance organisation was reported in Gundlapalli in YSR district. The victim Venkatamma residing at Girijan colony in Koduru tried to commit suicide as she took a loan from a micro financing company for her house hold needs.

Venkatamma pleaded the collection agents to give her some time in repaying the loan, but the agents denied the same and abused her with bad words.

They forced her to repay the loan failing which they frightened to take away her belongings from the house. Unable to bear the humiliation, Venkatamma took the extreme step. Locals rescued her and admitted her to a nearby hospital.
