KCR's 'Palle bata' a damp squib

TRS chief arrives for the meeting four hours late
Sudden and heavy downpour damages festoons and tent collapses
TRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao's maiden visit to participate in the party's 'Palle bata' in Nallagonda village of Thimmapur mandal on Friday proved to be a damp squib with poor turnout.
Against the scheduled arrival around 12 noon, Mr Chandrashekhar Rao landed in the village at 4 p.m. testing the patience of the villagers, particularly the youth, who had come in large numbers.
At the village centre, the TRS president hoisted the party flag and later admitted the TDP leader and single window chairman, Gautam Rao, and his supporters into the party. Senior leaders pacified the cadres by stating that the rains had dampened the spirit of 'Palle bata'.
