Party cadres protest absence of YSR's picture at Mahabubnagar

A noisy demonstration by irate party activists who protested absence of the late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's picture on the flexi-posters resulted in the third edition of Telangana Martyrs' memorial meeting, ending in a fiasco on Saturday evening.
The meeting was organised to extend financial assistance to the families of those who died for the cause of separate Telangana. Trouble started after a section of the party cadre raised vociferous slogans pointing to missing YSR posters at Zilla Parishad mini-stadium, the venue of the meeting.
As the stunned Ministers, MPs, legislators and senior party leaders from the region witnessed the trouble, agitated cadres vent their ire stating that it was an insult to the party not to have the departed leader's portraits.
As V. Hanumantha Rao, MP, got up to address the gathering, workers interrupted his speech.Irked by the sudden development, he dared them to decide whether they wanted YSR or Telangana.
