D.Ed and B.Ed qualified candidates intensify agitation

The uncertainty over the DSC-2008 recruitment continued even as the D.Ed and B.Ed qualified candidates intensified their agitation for and against 30 per cent reservation in Secondary Grade Teacher posts.
The Government, which finds itself in a spot, continued its efforts to find a solution to the DSC-2008 tangle that would not result in further disputes between the two categories of candidates.
Chief Minister K. Rosaiah discussed the issue with Secondary Education Minister D. Manikya Varaprasad and senior officials on Monday in the wake of mounting protests by both the D. Ed and B. Ed candidates.
He left it to the department to arrive at a decision that would not result in further legal problems.Emerging from the brainstorming session, Mr. Varaprasad said he would seek the view of the Advocate General.
