SKS moves HC to amend orders passed on MFIs
SKS Micro Finance Ltd approached the AP High Court on Wednesday seeking amendment to the interim orders granted by a division bench on October 22, directing the micro finance institutions to register themselves with the authorities concerned under the AP Micro Finance Institutions Ordinance, 2010 within a week. The firm filed three miscellaneous pleas seeking modifications of the order.
It brought to the notice of the court that it will be difficult for them to complete the procedure and furnish the information prescribed in the rules within a week. The HC was told that the firm has to furnish all details of its borrowers, including numbers of their ration cards for the registration, and it wont be possible to furnish details of hundreds of borrowers in a week. It urged the court to extend the time for registration to to six weeks.
