Metro Rail Gets AP, Centre Nods

Chief Minister K Rosaiah, on Thursday, gave the green signal for works on much-awaited Hyderabad Metro Rail Project to begin next year, by indicating his agreement for the release of funds. However, The project was scheduled to be completed in 4 years. Speaking to media persons at Secretariat, Minister for Urban Development and Municipal Administration Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, revealed that the Centre's clearance was also obtained and said, the massive project requires 269 acres of land.
Anyhow, He stated that verification of documents would be completed by 30th of November and that the independent agency would be finalized by 14th of December. The Chief Minister held a review meeting in which representatives from L&T, Defence, Railway, NH and the Municipality were present.
