Congress leaders from the State attending the AICC session in New Delhi will not have any voting right, if elections to the Congress Working Committee are held. As the party's central leadership has invited 141 existing members as special invitees for the one-day AICC session on November 2 in New Delhi, no one barring the APCC president D. Srinivas and the Chief Minister K. Rosaiah have voting right.
It also means, only the Chief Minister and the APCC chief besides the existing CWC members from the State can contest the elections. Mr. Srinivas told reporters that AICC has sent intimation directly to the invitees deleting the names of those, who died or left the party. Also, those facing complaints have been left out, he said. He is leaving for New Delhi on October 31 to attend the PCC presidents meeting with the party president Sonia Gandhi on November 1,.
