Clash between Police men & Protesters

On other hand, Another group of students from Telangana region tried to lay siege to Ministers' Quarters in Banjara Hills area in the city, on Sunday. They clashed with the police men and tried to advance towards ministers' residences, demanding that they stay away from formation day celebrations.

Mild tension also prevailed near the Quarters , after a group of activists tried to stage protests. Anyhow, Police resorted to baton charge to dispersed the crowd. Nearly 20 protesters were taken into custody.

The pro-Telangana activists have been demanding that the state government cancel the official celebration of the AP Formation Day. Infact, The Telangana Joint Action Committee has decided to observe AP Formation Day, as "betrayal day" and had asked all Telangana ministers, and other public representatives to boycott the fete.
