Ministers differ on UT status for Hyderabad
It was strange to hear two city Ministers airing contradictory views on Sunday on the talk of Hyderabad being accorded Union Territory status.
Ministers Danam Nagender and M. Mukesh Goud, after attending an event to commemorate the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and 135th birth anniversary of former Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, surprised media persons with their divergent opinions.
But, V. Hanumantha Rao, MP, rejected the demand of Mr. Mukesh, stating that creation of a separate Telangana State without Hyderabad was akin to a body without head.
