Minister for Panchayat Raj Botcha Satyanarayana, along with Minister for Tribal Welfare P. Balaraju, paid rich tributes to the former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, on the occasion of her 26th death anniversary by garlanding her portrait at the District Congress Committee Office Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satyanarayana recalled her sacrifices. Mr. Balaraju was here to participate in a private function.Later, talking to mediapersons, Mr. Satyanarayana flayed P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, TDP MLA, for his reported statement during Palle palleku, vaada vaadaku TDP' that Congress leaders neglected the municipality and shared grants during its recent term.

He said that Mr. Ashok, instead of introspecting why his winning margin in the Assembly elections, which was over one lakh votes in the past, dropped to 3,000 votes had been targeting Congress leaders.
