భారత దేశానికి చెందిన ఒక జర్నలిస్ట్ కి అమెరికాలో అరుదైన సత్కారం లభించింది. పల్లవ బాగ్ల అనే భారతీయుడికి అమెరికన్ జియోగ్రాఫికల్ యూనియన్ (AGU) నుండి డేవిడ్ పెర్ల్మన్ అనే బహుమతి లభించింది. ఈయన చేసిన 'హిమాలయ పర్వత శ్రేణులపై వాతావరణ ప్రభావం' అనే పరిశోధనకు గాను ఈ అరుదైన బహుమతి దక్కింది.
